December brings ongoing celebrations throughout our area with each Town Halls famous Nativity scenes in the town centres to Santa’s Grotto and further Christmas Markets.
Christmas Eve Dinner, Christmas day Lunch and New Years Eve is where Marbella pulls out all the stops as each hotel and restaurant offer fantastic decorations and a menu to die for! On New Years Eve you can see fireworks all along the coast. Marbella town hall holds a free concert in the Old Town in Plaza de Los Naranjos square with the countdown to midnight and New Years celebrations and even though Marbella is considered a large cosmopolitan city you can nearly guarantee to bump into someone you know there!
The most famous Spanish traditional Christmas celebration is “The Three Kings” with a wonderful parade in each town for the arrival of The Three Kings, an early evening event for families and especially children of all ages. Marbella town makes the event unique each year, for example the other year The Three Kings arriving by helicopter to San Pedro’s parade, a firework show and sweets are given to each child, in preparation for the presents they will receive that evening once home.
